Stocks are ranked by absolute percentage change in after-hours trading versus the 4:00 PM ET close. Only US-listed common stocks and ADRs priced at $1 or more with a market capitalization of at least $300 million are included, which filters out most penny stocks and thinly traded shells.

How often is this page updated?

The list refreshes every few minutes from 4:00 to 8:00 PM ET. Prices are delayed at least 15 minutes.

Why is after-hours trading riskier?

Fewer participants trade outside regular hours, so bid-ask spreads are wider and prices can swing on small orders. Limit orders are generally used to control execution prices.
